Soothsaying

After consultation with the brilliant people over at The Other Dark Place, I think that soothsaying can be depicted as wrong in my Dante novel because it is hubristic (over stepping the bounds of human knowledge), potentially hazardous (giving gullible people bad advice), and charlatanry (bilking people out of money for dubious advice).

I have one little soothsaying trick to put in, but it sure would've been nice to have tarot cards, too, but I just learned those were not introduced to Europe till the end of the 14th century.
