I kind of thought it'd happen, but I'm still stunned.
I don't think the human race deserves beacons of hope. We smash and break and blow them up. So to hell with us. We can sit in the damn dark, since that's apparently what we really want.

The challenge is great especially when many develop such defeatist attitudes. I know that this is difficult for an author but I believe in "Acta non Verba" my friend. Eventually it will see us all through.
It's pretty obvious you're already in the dark. How will you ever see anything else staring into your mirror?
Well, I never put a damper on people's optimism. I would always like to hope you're right.
Well, RCL, I'm not sure how some anguish at the depravity of the human race labels me as in the dark, but you go let your little light shine, shine, shine.
My,my - people actually read my humble blog. I will not publish comments that claim this is typical of all Muslims, however. My comment claimed such ignorance and violence is typical of the whole human race, which is a statement I'll stand by.

I remember that poster a lot of us had in high school - "If there's a rock and roll heaven, they must have a hell of a band." I suppose by the same reasoning, they must have a hell of a United Nations, one in which Benazir now fits as a person of courage and conviction, and more optimism than I.
