Ghost Car
Well, not really. It's not like the car's haunted. But I thought for the scene set in the 50s, we should have one with nice big tail fins. So here you go!
Bonus points to identify the make, model, and year, and which horror movie a similar car was featured in. (The last part's pretty easy, Horror fans.)
This one's a 57 (I hope, cause that's what I need for the story and that's what I Googled). The famous red one is reported to have been played by several different makes and models in the movie.
Location: Cornwall on Hudson, New York, United States
I am a professor of religious studies, and the author of several books on the Bible and theology. I grew up in New York, Virginia, and New Mexico. I attended St. John's College, Annapolis, MD (BA, 1988), Harvard Divinity School (MTS, 1990), and the University of Notre Dame (PhD, 1995). I live in upstate New York with my wife and two wonderful kids.
Starting in 2006, I had one of those strange midlife things, and turned my analysis towards horror films and literature. I have written
Gospel of the Living Dead: George Romero's Visions of Hell on Earth (Baylor, 2006) - WINNER, 2006 Bram Stoker Award;
Dying to Live: A Novel of Life among the Undead (Permuted Press, 2007);
Orpheus and the Pearl(Magus Press, 2008); and
Dying to Live: Life Sentence(Permuted Press, 2008).

I'm no good with cars but I'm guessing this might be a '58 Plymouth Fury.
Just like in that story by that guy who writes that stuff. :)

Yep, that's a '57 Plymouth Hardtop. The best resource I've found for identifying classic cars is here:

And a thing of beauty it is, too.
