Main symptom is high fever, chills, and sweats. Secondary symptoms would include nausea, vomiting, and (dry) cough. Eradicated in U.S.A. in 1951. But with no one to spray, wouldn't it come back after a zombie infestation?

While it has been eradicated from the US as a whole, the Central American regions still suffer from it, and the US military still gives out preventative medication for it.

While it wouldn't show up in great numbers right away, Malaria would migrate steadily.

But you also have to consider the massive amounts of toxins that will be dumped into the waters as storage tanks leak and rupture and containment protocols fail.

So, yeah, Malaria will be back, but more along the lines of Year Five.

You're in luck. A drug-resistant version has been sighted in Cambodia.
