Back!

Long series of trips. The MAR-AAR/SBL in New Brunswick, NJ. Then up to Nova Scotia to give a talk at St Francis Xavier University. Then down to Newark, NJ to see some of the folks from Dawn of the Dead. Met Gary Klar for the first time - what a great guy! He was so enthralled when I showed him GOTLD. Then up to Rye, NY, for Lunacon, where I was on panels all day yesterday. Then finally back home here!

Kim, I was at the Saturday Nightmares con and interviewed Gary Klar for the Icons of Fright website. He plugged your book. I plan on buying a copy off Amazon this week, so I can review it for the site.

I wish I would have known you were there. It would have been a pleasure to meet you.

That's great! The guy's amazing!

I don't have any more copies of GOTLD, but if you'd like a copy of my first novel (or, for that matter, my newest) let me know and I can send you one. Thanks!

This is a very kind offer, Kim. I would love to get a copy of your first novel. Do you have an email where I can send you my address?

I'm going to order GOTLD off Amazon tonight, and devour it the second I get my hands on it. After I've read it, I would love it if you would do a phone interview for Icons of Fright.

Thank you again for your kindness, and your love of George Romero, which I share.

Hi Kim,

I thought I'd let you know that I reviewed GOTLD about a week-and-a-half back on my blog. I thought it was great and I was happy to find out that there were other folks out there who shared an interest in theology/biblical studies and zombie flicks.

Kim, I was with Phil in NJ and Gary had nothing but great things to say about your book. He told me to get it because I teach a class at my high school called 'Suspense and the Supernatural' where I talk about the origins, history and meanings behind science fiction and horror literature and films. I just ordered your book because I'm interested to see what you have to say on the subject too.

I think you were at ICON last year. Any chance you'll be back there this coming weekend?

X-Chris - hey! I never heard anything from ICON organizers this year, so I won't be going. It's a long drive for me, but I might make the effort to bug them next year, as I like the con (better if it's not all spread out like last year) and I'm from LI originally and I never get to visit! Drop me a line at the email I listed for phil if you'd consider having me speak to your class. I've done that before a couple times and it's always fun.

Thanks Nick! I don't know why your comment was hung up in moderation, but I've linked to your review now!
