Story Taking Over

Writers often talk about how obsessed they get with their characters, till they feel what their characters do, all the time, not just when writing. Maybe writing about zombies and the people who kill them kept that a little bit removed from my writing experience, but in this more realistic tale of regular people, it's hitting me hard. I have the same scraps they have with my family when I leave the computer. I find myself staring at objects and composing elaborate back stories for where the object came from, as they do in the story.

It's scary. I better hurry up and finish this!!
