"The Genius of America"

Exactly. That's what this is about. It's not about the candidate, but about the genius of the nation that elected him. And not "genius" like "very smart" but "genius" as in "motivating, defining ethos or spirit." That's what's on display right now and it's glorious.

Agreed! I almost cried about four times.

Did you see when the camera fell on Jesse Jackson? Jesse . . . standing perfectly still in a crowd of screaming Obama supporters, shoulders slumped, tears streaming down his face.

Succinctly and eloquently put, Kim. Despite however people voted, I hope when they saw Obama's victory speech tonight they saw the same thing I did. The beginning of a groundswell, the makings of something exceptionally important and redefining in our nation, and the introduction of the possibility that every child of any class, gender, ethnicity, or religion can truly reach their potential. I feel proud of our country today.
